Michigan City High School Choral Groups are Solid Gold

Michigan-City-High-School-Choral-Groups-are-Solid-Gold-2017_01 On Saturday, April 22, the Michigan City High School Concert Choir, Treble Chorale, and City Singers traveled to Northridge High School to compete at the ISSMA Organizational Contest.

The Concert Choir performed “The Water is Wide” by Ed Lojeski, “Blessing” by Kate Moran Bart, and “Let Me Ride (Swing Down Chariot)” by Roger Emerson. The choir received a Gold rating with a Gold in sight reading at the contest.

Michigan-City-High-School-Choral-Groups-are-Solid-Gold-2017_02 The Treble Chorale performed “Music! Music!” by Roger Emerson, “The Seal Lullaby” by Eric Whitacre, and “And Nature Smiled” by Alan Koepke. The girls received a Gold rating at the contest.

The City Singers performed “Dirait-on” by Morten Lauridsen, “If Music Be the Food of Love” by David Dickau, and “Down By the Riverside” by John Rutter. The ensemble received a Gold rating at the contest.
